With just under a week to go until his CD release party at the Opera House on November 22nd, Jason was seen today in good spirits – despite his cold!!
When asked for comment, Jason was enthusiastic and optimistic about his upcoming performance. “I just can’t wait to get up there and share this music personally with the crowd! I have gotten so many comments from people from all over and it’s just amazing to touch so many people. And it’s just such a rush to get to play with this great group of musicians in rehearsal – I can’t wait to do it live!!”. Jason is clearly excited about performing with the 12 piece band, which includes a full horn section, backup singer line, and guest singer Olivia Dodge (his daughter).
Dave Ward, producer for “Life Between Pings” and a musician and performer himself has undertaken managerial duties for the show, and has put together what looks to be an fun evening for music enthusiasts of all genres. When asked what his favourite song from the album is, Dave is quick to reply “No question, the country tune – It’s All Over (Again) – gets my vote!” The show is also to be filmed and recorded live in anticipation of a live version of the album and future music videos.
Unconfirmed rumours have also surfaced regarding cover tunes that might find their way into the setlist for the show – including Adele, Phil Collins, and the Eagles.
Concert goers are sure to be entertained also by Canary Mine, the renowned Canadian band providing the opening act.
