Jason Dodge releases first video!!

Jason Dodge is excited to announce that his first pro video has been released on You Tube today!!!

The video showcases “You’ll Never Know”, a passionate piano ballad with saxophone solo (by Marcus Ali) that was featured in his CD release party (from the album “Life Between Pings”) Live at the Opera House on November 22nd, 2012.

Fans have already taking a strong liking to the video – comments coming in suggesting that they really connect with the emotional lyrics and musicality on a very personal level.

“I’m really glad that people who couldn’t come to my CD release party will get to see this part of the show – it was a moment of pure magic for us there”.

6 Days to the Show and Counting

Attention fans new and old – Jason Dodge hits the stage in just 6 days!

With just under a week to go until his CD release party at the Opera House on November 22nd, Jason was seen today in good spirits – despite his cold!!

When asked for comment, Jason was enthusiastic and optimistic about his upcoming performance.  “I just can’t wait to get up there and share this music personally with the crowd!  I have gotten so many comments from people from all over and it’s just amazing to touch so many people.  And it’s just such a rush to get to play with this great group of musicians in rehearsal – I can’t wait to do it live!!”.  Jason is clearly excited about performing with the 12 piece band, which includes a full horn section, backup singer line, and guest singer Olivia Dodge (his daughter).

Dave Ward, producer for “Life Between Pings” and a musician and performer himself has undertaken managerial duties for the show, and has put together what looks to be an fun evening for music enthusiasts of all genres.  When asked what his favourite song from the album is, Dave is quick to reply “No question, the country tune – It’s All Over (Again) – gets my vote!”  The show is also to be filmed and recorded live in anticipation of a live version of the album and future music videos.

Unconfirmed rumours have also surfaced regarding cover tunes that might find their way into the setlist for the show – including Adele, Phil Collins, and the Eagles.

Concert goers are sure to be entertained also by Canary Mine, the renowned Canadian band providing the opening act.

Tickets are available at the door for the show on November 22nd and the doors open at 7 pm.

Olivia Dodge Guest Singer at Upcoming Show!

Jason Dodge has exciting news to share with music fans everywhere!!

By now you all likely know that Jason Dodge and the LBP band will be performing music from his recently released debut album “Life Between Pings” live at the Opera House in Toronto on November 22nd, 2012.

Olivia Dodge, Jason’s eldest daughter, is currently in rehearsal to perform alongside her father during the show on the original duet “Do You Remember?”.  Fans may not know that it was actually Olivia who provided the female lead vocals for the demo tape of the song, recorded in the basement studio at home.  The pair are confirmed to have received vocal coaching together in preparation for the show.

Olivia is currently singing for her fourth year as part of the Toronto Children’s Chorus. Apart from singing, her musical talents also including playing piano, trumpet, ukelele, and guitar.  Olivia has performed in musical theatre productions of Annie, Willy Wonka, and Alice in Wonderland.  She has also previously composed and performed her own music.

When reached for comment today, Olivia confirmed that she was as excited as her father to be performing together on stage.

Opening Act Announced for CD Release Party!

CanaryMine to open for Jason Dodge at the Opera House, Nov 22nd. Doors open at 7pm

Exciting news!  The opening act for the “Life Between Pings” CD release party has been confirmed!

Canary Mine – one of Canada’s premier acts has been signed to open for Jason Dodge at the Opera House on November 22nd, 2012.

Hot off the release of their newest album “Between a Rock and a Heartbreak” earlier this year, the eclectic Canadian quartet will likely perform their renouned humourous combination of folk, rock, country and hip-hop.

The group promises to provide an entertaining show and the eclectic music mix should have the audience ready to rock with Jason Dodge and the LBP band.

Tickets will be $20 at the door and should be well worth the price of admission for music lovers of any genre!

Be sure to come early to get a good view of the musical talent!

CD Release Party

Just announced – come join Jason Dodge live at the Opera House, 735 Queen St. East, on November 22, 2012!  He will be performing original songs from his debut album “Life Between Pings” just released on October 23rd, 2012.  Planned highlights include the core LBP Band, full horn section, and a section of backup singers.  Doors open at 7pm, the yet unnamed opening act to start at 8pm, and Jason Dodge hits the stage at 9pm. Tickets are $20 at the door and don’t forget to bring your phone!
